Dayspring has strong special classes, Orff-Music and Spanish, starting the first week of October.
In Orff-Music class, the children learn about rhythm, melody, harmony, form, texture etc. by speaking, chanting, singing, dancing, movement, and playing musical instruments.
All children join hands and sing a song with Orff-instrument accompaniment. They make rhythm with the songs and sing.
‘An’ is hitting ‘C’ and ‘G’ on the alto glockenspiel along with a song. The children play ‘B, A, G’ on their recorder in the recorder class.
Once a year we have a big event, ‘Recognition and Spring-Sing’. Our kindergartners graduate and all our children put on a lovely concert. We invite all our Dayspring family and their friends to come and enjoy the music and program.
