Dayspring children have been immersed in nature and enjoying every moment outside, whether it was nature walks, bicycle riding, swimming, or having afternoon snack on a bench.

Some look out to the stream and notice many rocks there. Each child picks up a rock and learns that it is a non-living thing. It is also a mineral.

At Dayspring, children take care of the flowers and vegetables in our gardens. They water the plants and observe the beautiful flowers.

This summer, the weather has been nice enough for children to have snack outside. It’s a picnic gathering for everyone!
During Dayspring Summer Camp, children have also been experiencing many different types of learning through their Montessori work, Orff Music, and afternoon projects.

For afternoon projects, children get to do various experiments. Here, the child paints half of the paper…

At Dayspring, children do cooking experiments. Today, they use crackers, banana, and ice cream to create a delicious dessert.
Creating projects, discovering new paths, and refining our senses and skills are what our children have been doing this summer here at Dayspring Montessori. It has been a fun 9 weeks so far, and we are sad that the end is near.
However, the new 2014-2015 school year is approaching. We are excited to see how much more our children will grow!
To the end of summer and beginning of a new school year…bring it on!
